New Electronic Devices Policy

Following a request from some of our older children and after consultation with their parents, We have decided to allow children in P5, P6 and P7 to bring an electronic device such as phone or tablet on which to play games, if they wish.

If you are happy for your child to do this, you will be required to sign a disclaimer stating that PUPS cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to devices. In addition, parents must ensure that their child knows that their device must only be used for playing age appropriate games and not for any other purpose such as using the internet, taking photographs or making phone calls. Children will only be allowed to use their devices in a designated area. If any child does not adhere to the rules we will withdraw the use of devices for all children, with immediate effect.

Move to new Largs Campus

We have successfully negotiated an agreement with North Ayrshire Council which allows us to hire an area within the school. This will enable us to continue to offer Breakfast Club and After School Care.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to open Breakfast Club on Monday 12th March 2018 but After School Care will be available on that day. Breakfast Club will resume on Tuesday 13th March from 7.15am.

When dropping off or collecting children from PUPS at the new campus, you should enter the building at the Largs Academy entrance. If you arrive at the entrance and no-one is there, please call PUPS mobile on 0779 209 5505 and someone will meet you.

Parents using Breakfast Club should note that you will not be able to bring children before 7.15am as this is the official start time of the let.

We look forward to the new campus but recognise that there may be some restrictions as we will no longer have the luxury of our own space and are sharing a building. We would ask for your understanding and patience as we work toward settling everyone in and establishing our activities and routines.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer toast in the mornings but alternatives such as melba toasts, cracker bread will be available alongside the usual menu.

We look forward to seeing you all at After School Care on Monday 12th or Breakfast Club on 13th March!

As usual, if you have any queries then please contact Gillian McEleny on 673505.
